What the X-Ray looks at
- Possible technology gaps: jobs your answers suggest have no system behind them, such as customer conversations with no CRM.
- Possible duplicated workflows: the same information kept in two places, such as customer details in a spreadsheet and a CRM.
- Opportunities for AI and automation: practical options matched to the tools you already pay for.
- Data and governance considerations: approved AI tools, Copilot permissions, UK GDPR and who stays accountable.
- Three recommendations and next steps, ordered by the goals you chose.
Assumptions and limitations
The X-Ray works only from the options you tick. It does not connect to, scan or inspect any of your systems, and it cannot see how well each tool is set up or used. It gives no scores, savings or return-on-investment figures, because those need real information about your work. Treat each finding as something worth checking, not a diagnosis. Tool names such as Power Automate, Looker Studio and Copilot are examples, not endorsements, and licence details change, so check your own plan.
How it fits with our other free tools
The AI Readiness Audit scores your organisation across strategy, data, talent, operations and governance. The AI Roadmap Generator drafts a sector plan. The X-Ray sits between them: it looks at your tools and daily workflows. When you want a person to look properly, book the free AI & Tech Stack Review with our Cardiff team.
Questions we are often asked
Does the X-Ray connect to our systems?
No. It only uses the answers you choose on this page. Nothing connects to your accounts, and nothing you select is stored by us.
Why are there no scores or savings figures?
Because a list of tools cannot tell us how well they are used or what your time costs. The X-Ray points to likely gaps and overlaps worth checking. A real review is needed before anyone can estimate savings.
How is this different from the AI Readiness Audit?
The audit looks at your organisation: strategy, data, skills, operations and governance. The X-Ray looks at your tools and day-to-day workflows. Many people use both.
Can I share my result?
Yes. The share link carries only the options you ticked, so colleagues see the same result. It contains no names or contact details.
